@NeatoranMale: thanks! He told me I should do the contest, so why not?

Reply TheJGamer, December 23rd, 2016, 10:49 am

@Ian Evans: COPY AND PASTER!!
Really though, I wish I was drawn as a stickfigure.
Good luck!
(And yes, I'm aware that you have an XBOX One. You must like trickshots.)

@TheJGamer: I would have actually drawn you except the deadline was pretty steep and I did this at midnight. I did it all in paint and google images.

@TheJGamer: I'm actually not too hot with trick shots but I'll show the video when it's done.

@artofjoe: I will always be Nintendo at heart, but I don't agree with the direction they've been heading lately.

@Ian Evans: Interesting, how so? (I agree somewhat and I'm a little mad about how they are abandoning the Wii U so soon when it still has so much potential...)

Reply Ian Evans, February 2nd, 2017, 11:25 pm

@artofjoe: basically on two fronts. The first front being their abandonment of their original fanbase in casual gaming. That kind of happened with wii games that were catered to a wider audience that were frankly really poorly made and had little replay value (if any play value) ie wii sports, wii resort, Mario and sonic at the Olympic games. There's nothing wrong with those games being produced, it's just that Nintendo started putting all their effort into widening that audience. This might be a little hard to grasp just because you didn't grow up with the gamecube at the same age as I did, but every gamecube game I ever bought was very high quality, fun to play, and very unique in style with few exceptions. When I think of the greatest games for gamecube the list trails on and on in my mind. If you were to ask me the best games for the wii, I can think of like three and the list ends abruptly. Also as you mentioned, they keep trying to be really innovative with their systems, which is great, but then they never do anything with it. Like the Wii U. Imagine a pacific rim game where two pilots are piloting a giant robot. One players controls are being fed through the tv and the others through the controller. That is the power of the wii U. There could have been so many unique and innovative games, but there were none. And now they are leaving it behind. The second front has to do with the Nintendo competitive scene, namely super smash brothers (I compete in super smash brothers tournaments). But I won't get into that side of it.

@artofjoe: but Nintendo absolutely shaped my childhood, and I'll never forget that.

Reply artofjoe, February 3rd, 2017, 4:12 am

@Ian Evans: I couldn't agree more.
